Project Overview
This project involved a complete colour transformation of 2 extra-large bay windows, a smaller bay, two side windows on the porch, all the fascia boards including the apex above the bay windows, and on the porch, all crafted from UPVC. The centrepiece of this project was the double entrance, made of composite material, adding to the complexity and aesthetic appeal of our task.
The Challenge
One of the project's key challenges was the top apex, soaring approximately 8 meters at its highest point. This required meticulous planning, expert technique, and safety measures to ensure flawless execution.
The Process
- Cleaning and Preparation: Our first step was rigorously cleaning all surfaces. For UPVC and composite materials, this is crucial to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Masking: We meticulously masked off areas around the painting surfaces to protect the home's other features and ensure crisp, clean lines.
- Painting with Kolorbond K2: We used high-quality Kolorbond K2 paint, known for its durability and excellent finish on UPVC and composite surfaces. Our skilled painters applied the jet black paint, transforming the look of each feature.
- Safety Measures for High Apex Painting: Painting the high apex required special safety equipment and techniques. Our team's expertise in handling such challenging tasks was vital in achieving a superb finish.
